33rd Annual Keep Kingsport Beautiful Trash Barrel Paint-In, presented by Domtar, Tuesday, July 10, 9:00 am – 2:00 pm, Allandale Mansion.  REGISTRATION DEADLINE IS JULY 9.  $5 registration fee for each barrel requested on the registration form.  Forms available at the Fun Fest Store, 400 Clinchfield Street or by going to funfest.net


The Health Wagon will be providing a FREE massive health care outreach on July 20 – 22 at the Wise county Fair Grounds in Wise.  Some of the many services: complete eye exams, prescription glasses, dental fillings, extractions, cleanings, hearing exams, hearing aids, chest x-ray, ultrasounds, bone density, lab work, mammograms, and pap smears.  These services provided for uninsured, underinsured, unemployed and those who cannot afford to pay.  All services are free.  Registration begins at 6:00 am daily.  First come, first serve.  For information, call 276.328.8850.


9th Annual Back-to-School Expo, Tuesday, July 31, 3:00 – 6:00 pm, Kingsport Farmers Market.  Kid-friendly organizations will have booths offering programs, lessons, athletics and more.  For information, go to k12k.com

Many July 4th celebrations around the area.  Check with your community Facebook page or website for information.


10:00 am: Kingsport.  Parade begins on Center Street at the Renaissance Center to Memorial Garden Park.  6:30 to 10:00 pm, live music from Virginia Ground and Anthony Wayne Vibe.  Fireworks at 9:45 pm.


11:00 am: Erwin. Welcome Home Veterans Parade.  All veterans invited to participate!  Free refreshments and free kids\’ zone in Veterans Park.  


5:00 pm: Bristol: Parade down State Street.  Many events after 6:00 pm in Cumberland Square Park, concluding with music from Bill & The Belles at 7;00 pm and Teen Spirit at 8:30 pm.  Fireworks begin at 10:00 pm.


5:00 pm: Johnson City. event at Freedom Hall.  Fireworks at 9:55 pm.
